DirecTV For Cornell Students

No contract terms.   No deposits.   No prepayments.    No credit checks.

DirecTV services are available for residential hall dorm rooms. You will need a special DirecTV digital receiver model D-11i to receive services in your room.

The DirecTV receiver, required to subscribe to service in the Cornell Residence halls, is available at The Cornell Store.

Visit the Technology Connection in the upper level of The Cornell Store to purchase a receiver.

*Installation accessories are extra. You also purchase an Ethernet switch and two data patch cables. This will enable you to connect your DirecTV receiver and PC at the same time.  Included with the equipment from The Cornell Store are installation instructions that will enable you to perform a self installation.

If necessary, you may request a professional installation by calling (866) 440-2003. The cost is $25.00. Be sure to give the CSR your name, dorm location, local phone, and email address. The installation tech will contact you to schedule an appointment.
