(All returns must be resalableand be accompanied with the correct

SPRING 2008 TEXTBOOK & COURSE PACKET RETURNS POLICY
ALL
RETURNS MUST BE RESALABLE & BE ACCOMPANIED BY
THE CORRECT RECEIPT.
If purchased by 3/3/08
• Must be returned within
SEVEN days from the date of purchase.
If purchased after 3/3/08
• No textbook or
course packet return will be accepted.
Provisos:
• All packages must be complete with no missing components.
• All textbooks may be returned within THREE days of the date
you drop a course.
NOTE: For courses dropped after March 7th, a paper copy of your
petitioned drop slip, signed by the Registrar, must be provided.
• Course packets cannot be returned if shrink wrap is open
or packet is incomplete or written in.
• New textbooks that are written in or shelf-worn will be
returned at the USED price.
• For courses other than full semester or second half only,
books/packets MUST be returned within ONE day or with drop slip.
• JGSM RETURNS ONLY: Books purchased after March 10th for
second half JGSM courses may be returned within THREE days from date of purchase.
MERCHANDISE
& GENERAL BOOKS Return Policy
ALL RETURNS MUST

Return without receipt: We no
longer retain purchase history linked to credit card information. If
you need a receipt for a past transaction, we can only help customers
who provided a Cornell ID or Net ID at the time of purchase. If
you provided ID, our Business Office will be able to look up the
receipt. There is a $5 charge for this service. For
details, see Store Services (upper level) in the store.
Return after 21 or (7) days: Products are not returnable
after 21 days for general merchandise & general books or
7 days for computer or electronic products.
Return within time limit, opened package: A 20% handling
fee will be applied provided product is in new condition. Must
have ALL packaging materials, tags, etc. Defective products
will be exchanged for the same item only. Credit given
only on Store Gift Card.
NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS:
• Damaged items or items in non-resaleable
condition
• Items without packaging
• Opened CDs, DVDs, audio books, or other items that include
CDs, DVDs, or audio books
• Opened ink cartridges, media & some software
• Opened carded pens and pencils
• Washed, worn or soiled clothing. Clothing must have
ALL original tags still attached.
• Custom-cut Art Department items
• Cornell chairs
• Photographic paper
• Clearance or 50% off products
• Newspapers and magazines
• Items purchased from the 1865 Cafe
• Health and beauty supplies
• Diploma frames (unless defective)

Store Sales, Coupons & Wooden
Nickels Policy:
Store discounts apply to in-stock, in-store merchandise
only. Online orders are excluded.
The following WILL NOT BE discounted: special orders,
textbooks & course
packs, computer hardware, software & accessories, Apple products, MP3
players, cameras, Cornell chairs, Vermont Originals knit hockey hats, services,
diploma frames, magazines & newspapers, Cornell yearbooks, and merchandise
already on sale or previously discounted. Other exclusions may apply.
(Class 1099 "Bargain books" are discount eligible)
Most computer supplies are discountable including ink and toner cartridges,
blank media, mouse pads, and surge strips. Calculators are discountable.
Coupons, wooden nickels, and sale discounts CANNOT be combined.
One coupon or wooden nickel is allowable per person.
* No discounts allowed on Cornell chairs.

must be accompanied by the correct receipt.
